I haven't posted anything here for a couple of weeks now but it doesn't mean we aren't busy doing stuff. Terry is still working hard on fiberglassing and grinding and sanding and painting and I finally managed to enjoy a bit of time on the boat and went for a short cruise over to Gabriola Island for a visit. I've got some decent video of it all but I'm really short on time lately and haven't found any time to get on with compiling, editing and putting it up. I will though.

All in all, it was a good trip. Silva bay is getting more expensive.. that's for sure. Left the boat there one night and then moved it over to Pilot Bay for the second. Left the third day to get back here to get on with the usual.. work.

Weather did well, got some good sun for the first two days but the final day was crap. As always, the wind turned up exactly when I didn't want it, at night. It was on my nose on the way there and on my nose on the way back.

Figures...

There's no video of it so I can mention in text only but I had to unravel some seaweed from the prop for my first time ever. Surprisingly I've never fouled the prop in all my motoring around. Not only that but it happened twice on the same run from Silva to Pilot bay! What kind of luck is that... easy enough to get off an outboard though, just a little bit of drama there.

If I can scream ahead with work over the next couple of weeks I'm hoping to get out again. We'll see though.
